GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales operations of a specific branch within the automotive industry. This role involves managing the sales team, driving sales performance, developing customer relationships, and ensuring the branch meets its sales targets and profitability goals. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for implementing sales strategies, monitoring market trends, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve branch sales targets and profitability goals.
- Lead, motivate, and manage the branch sales team to meet and exceed sales objectives.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and analysis to senior management.
- Recruit, train, and develop sales staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide coaching and feedback to team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by addressing customer needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand the branch’s customer base.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns and events.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.
- Ensure the branch provides a high-quality customer experience at every touchpoint.
- Implement and monitor customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service delivery.
- Work closely with other departments, including marketing, finance, and service, to ensure seamless operations.
- Communicate effectively with senior management to align branch activities with company goals and strategies.
- Participate in regional and national sales meetings, sharing insights and best practices with peers.
- To assist in any task as and when required.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
(Essential Skills\Knowledge and Experiences)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management, preferably within the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English is a must. Additional language is an advantage.
- Good skills in Microsoft Office, presentation and effective communication skills.
