GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
The Accounts Executive is responsible for managing daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing support to the accounts team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced automotive industry environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Process accounts payable transactions, including verifying and coding invoices, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments.
- Manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Monitor and track company expenses.
- Ensure all expenses are properly documented and approved.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain accurate tax records and support tax audits as required.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare documentation and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Undertake any other ad-hoc assignment or duties assigned by the Superior as and when required.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
(Essential Skills\Knowledge and Experiences)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Costing or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, MACPA, CIMA or equivalent is preferred.
- Have at least three (3) years of experience in the related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, etc), Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and TAX knowledge will be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Analytical and able to think through solutions to solve challenges.
- Ability to work with all levels of management, including senior leadership.
